Program: Bruce Brown introduced Donnie Staford who kept our attention as he decoded the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. It seems that in 16th Century England during the religious reformation, it was not fashionable to profess Christian ideal in song. So, the persecuted Catholics coded the words to the 12 days to symbolize catholic icons. For example, Four Calling Birds represent the four Gospels of the New Testament, and 5 Gold rings represent the Pentateuch (first five books of the Old Testament.) Thanks for a very interesting program with a Christmas theme. You can read the rest by googling online.
Lee one $55 in the 50/50 raffle.
Thought for the Days ahead from Nanea Hoffman: “May you discover at least one good thing every day, even if you have to put on your glasses and squint. May you carry hope in your pocket, courage in your heart, and love in both hands. “
