Friday’s meeting September 13, 2024
President Al got us started and Kirby led singing and pledging. Bob McAmis offered the invocation. Please remember those on our prayer list. Gary and Debbie Cooper’s family, John Malzone’s family, Tal Baggett’s family, Tim Dunn’s brothers, Kara Brittain, Debbie Best’s sister, Kallie Zeiglar’s son in law, Robby Talton”s wife Deanna, Diane Parfitt’s daughter Nicole, Bob Pool and Darron Beal’s family. John Harbison and George Hendrick’s mother were both removed this week and are recovering nicely.
Announcements:
- Jim Ammons and Michelle Skinner were recognized for hosting one of the best social events of the year in the batting cages of Segra stadium. The next social will be October 2nd at the home of Kali Zeigler. Stay tuned for further announcements.
- The Golf Committee is asking for everyone to help with providing gifts and golfers for the tournament.
- There is a Joint Bored meeting Wednesday 18 Sept at 5:30 pm at Holmes Security 407 Ray Avenue.
- Terrific Kids Bags are ready for distribution if you didn’t get your bag on Friday, they will be available for pick up at City Center Book Store

Program: President Al introduced himself as the program. Pres Al presented an overview of the “other” museums on Ft Liberty, The Special Forces Museum and the 82nd Airborne Division Museum. You can access Ft Liberty by going online to Ft Liberty pass and applying on line. The SF Museum is at 2815 Ardennes St and houses exhibits of The Son Tay Raid, Col Nick Rowe, Robin Sage exercise, Col Bull Simmons and other exhibits of SF History. The 82nd Museum is also on Ardennes in the Division areas and houses both inside and outside exhibits of Aircraft, Tanks, Artillery and small arms. These museums are waiting for you to discover them and the history they contain.
