Our program was a delightful 30 minuets with Dr Hendricks the past President of Methodist College. We listened to many of Dr. Hendrick’s stories from his autobiography. As a pastor, a physicist, and a navy veteran all his stories were entertaining and informative. He told a story about his fist visit to our Kiwanis club where he learned a lot of about our club and especially the “lack of decorum” as dinner rolls filled the air. Dr Hendrick quipped his wife didn’t have a problem with it as she was a 7th grade teacher. Dr Hendricks related his accomplishments as Methodist College president as under his leadership the Golf Management Program and the PA program began and are still flourishing today. A very warm and uplifting program.
Cheryl won $51 in the 50/50 raffle
Join us next Friday June 21 when the program is hosted by Felicia Smith and we will hear from Amy Neverjas of the North Carolina Downs Syndrome Alliance.
