Friday’s Meeting 17 July 2026
President Steve got us started and Kirby led us in singing and the pledge. Rick Daniel offered the invocation as we remembered those in our K family that are infirmed. Please keep the following in your thoughts and prayers: Charles T Haigh, Tim Dunn, Barbara Porter’s daughter in law Nicole, Robbie Talton’s wife Deanna, Fred Cutter’s daughter, Kirby White, Henry Tyson’s daughter Darby, Danny Highsmith, Lee and Sue Warren, Cheryl Gleason’s mother, Kalli Zigler, and Norwood Bryan.
- President Steve recognized Michael Nye, our Lt Governor, who gave us several accolades for our projects and web site and then plugged the District Convention to be held in Greensboro next month.
- Splash Pad Challenge is still alive and well and it’s an easy way to get funds added to our endowment. Please bring your towel and be prepared to get wet.
- Golf Tournament 8 October 2026. Plan to play or support a team. See Bob McAmis for entry sheet.
- 2Rs asked for some more volunteers for the Reading is Fun program which will start again soon.
