Interestingly enough, Danny Highsmith’s wife Faye was one of the 10 winners !! This is the Club’s biggest fund-raiser each year and special thanks to Chairman Garry and all those who sold and bought tickets.
2024 GOLF TOURNAMENT –Please mark your calendar for our annual golf tournament which will be on SATURDAY the 12th of Oct at Cypress Lakes. The tournament was moved to Saturday in hopes of expanding attendance with folks not having to take off from work to play. PLEASE plan to play, sponsor a hole sign or AT LEAST provide one or two door prizes in the $20-25 price range so we can continue to have a door prize for each golfer. This is our second largest fund raiser for the Club so PLEASE plan to help.
PROGRAM – Our program today was brought to us by Grace McGrath and introduced by John Harbison. Wayne Tate from Mana Church did a fantastic imitation of Frank Sinatra. His musical program included several of the old standards including “New York, New York”, and concluded with “I Did It My Way”. Thanks for a great program Grace.
RAFFLE – The “Birthday Girl” Kim Thomas walked away a little richer today!
WORDS FOR THE HEART -- A group of professional people posed the question "what does love mean" to a group of 4 - 8 year-olds. A 4 year old little boy answered : “Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired.”
