Friday’s meeting                       13 February 2026

We opened the meeting at Hay Street Methodist Church (Did you forget and go by the Kiwanis Center? This Friday 20 February our meeting will be Awards Night at Gates Four and 27 February meeting will again be at Hay Street Methodist all due to early voting).  Kirby led us in singing and pledging and Bob McAmis offered the Invocation.

Please keep the following Kiwanians on our infirmed list in your thoughts and prayers: Charles T. Haigh, Tim Dunn, Barbara Porter’s daughter-in-law Nicole, Robbie Talton’s wife Deanna and Fred Cutter’s father-in-law.

At this point Pres Steve tried once again to demonstrate his sense of humor but this time he relied on the input from another member who was trying to add some class to his otherwise bad Dad jokes.  There were a few snickers and guffaws which could be construed in some circles as improvement, but Kiwanis is a tough crowd.

Guests: We had three guests this Friday (which is better than none for the past several weeks).  Adam Miller, Kevin Jacobs, and Keegan.

During these sessions students not only get exposed to different technical learning environments they also can obtain Industry Standard Certifications which will help them with potential career progression.
